Luke Callahan is tired and dirty after a long day of hard work.  He wants nothing more than a refreshing dip in the pond to cool off.  It doesn't take but a moment to realize he is not alone.  Cassie Morgan has joined him in the water and she is as naked as the day she was born!  Not that Luke doesn't appreciate the tempting offer, but getting caught by Cassie's father is the last thing he needs.  There is no swaying Cassie once she puts her mind to something and sure enough who arrives on the scene but Carl Morgan, Cassie's father.  He is definitely not amused.  It looks like there is going to be a shotgun wedding after all.

Cassie wants Luke in the worst way.  His good looks and sexy body is enough to keep her awake at night.  She knows Luke will make a perfect husband.  She always gets what she wants so why should this be any different?  To tell the truth guilt did niggle at the edges of her mind.  Luke had no idea what he was getting into when he entered that pond.  But she did.  Cassie knew Luke's habits and she knew he would be there.  It was only a matter of patiently waiting for his arrival.  When Luke and Cassie spent the night alone in an old shack and still Luke didn't take advantage of her body, well, Cassie is at a loss.  Is it possible Luke will never love her?   Cassie loves Luke but if he doesn't want to marry her then she will not marry at all.  She'll be a spinster for the rest of her life.

Luke is tired of being pushed around by his father and Cassie's father.  If he has to marry then it will be on his and Cassie's own terms.  Cassie deserves better than what their fathers are doing to them.  She needs someone to stand up for her and Luke is just the man to do it.

Shotgun Wedding by Cia Leah is a little bit spice, a little bit sass, and a lot of fun.  True, the dialogue can be a bit trite, but it is still an entertaining read in a mini format.
