Kaylie Fletcher absolutely hates Alaska! Most people think it’s beautiful, but she wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for the phone call saying her mother is still alive. The same mother whom she was told had been lost fourteen days ago and perished in a skiing accident.

Cort McClaine knows Kaylie’s type and he will treat her just as if she’s a client. He learned his lesson with his ex-wife. If it wasn’t for the fact that she needed a lift to see his best friend – Jackson - home to meet up with her friend Sara he wouldn’t be even speaking to her… but a client is a client and fly they must. These two have different opinions of each other and they reach them just for looks.

Before they even get to Jackson and Sarah’s home there’s trouble and Cort does his best to take care of Kaylie. There is much more going on than the just possibility of Kaylie’s Mom still being alive. Someone is watching her - and Cort will do what he can to protect her. People are dying and it’s going to take some time before anyone figures out why.

Will the fact that Cort feels it is his job to protect Kaylie bring these two together? Does Kaylie learn to trust Cort completely? What will it cost her? How many people will die before they figure out what’s going on?

I loved this book. Ice can be melted with the right touch and the passion in this book is hot. Not only is there a great romance going on but the who is the killer is great too. It is a keeper for me and I intend to look for other books by Stephanie Rowe.
