When heiress Lucinda Hollander finds herself with a huge ring on her finger, no fiancé and wanted by the police, she does the only thing she can think of – she runs. Right into luscious Max Hogan.

Well, okay, the plot is a great deal more complex than that. But once Lucinda meets the enigmatic and adorably sexy Max, this book really lights up. It’s a case of finding a large number of plot holes completely filled by the romance between the two lead characters. They could have been abducted by aliens and we would have soaked up every single word, because these two are incandescent together.

With typical Bevarly dexterity, Lucinda’s new friend Rosemary also finds herself on the receiving end of some passion from an unlikely source, and these two girls share experiences, thoughts and the occasional bitch-session. It’s wonderful! Toss in a cute kid with issues, some Formula 1 racing references, the decadent habits of the rich and...well...decadent, and you have a wonderful froth of romance that will have you laughing and sighing as you turn the pages.

Elizabeth Bevarly has created some fabulous characters in her books that keep me coming back for more. This one was no exception and I recommend it as a super read for any romance fan.
