Is there a better way to kick off the summer, than to read a light-hearted fun romance? I am of the strict opinion that there is no other way to transition from one season to another than with a good read, and should you pick Dirty Sexy Knitting the third and final book in Christie Ridgeway’s trilogy, you won’t be disappointed.
In Dirty Sexy Knitting we get much better insight into why Cassandra and Gabe are the people they are. Cassandra, the product of a single parent who chose artificial insemination versus the more traditional route, has always felt the loss of a father and as we discover her mother is very non-traditional. We begin to understand why discovering her roots and finding family is so important to Cassandra.
Gabe we discover has his own deeply buried secret past, and finally Cassandra gets bits and pieces to come out. As the various puzzle pieces begin to fit together the relationship between Cassandra and Gabe gets trickier to navigate, and therefore makes for some fun reading while soaking up the sunshine.
However, Dirty Sexy Knitting doesn’t just resolve the issue of Gabe and Cassandra, it also touches on what family really is, and to the extent that different types of people will go to protect their families.
The three titles in this trilogy are How to Knit a Wild Bikini, Unravel Me, and now Dirty Sexy Knitting. I have to say that of the three Dirty Sexy Knitting was my favorite by far! Now, you’re asking do I have to read all three or do they stand alone on their own? I believe they stand alone on their own, but you’ll get more enjoyment out of reading all three and in order.
