At fifteen Estelle Berenger fell in love with her new friendís, Sally, adoptive father and was also struck by lightning and left with weird abilities. Eleven years later Estelleís love for Edmund Fitz Clare has only grown. As for Edmund his feelings for Estelle have strengthened as sheís matured and because heís hiding a secret from the people he loves his secretiveness stands in the way of getting closer to Estelle. But a threat has emerged that is placing everyone Edmund loves in danger and threatens the life that Edmund has made for himself.

Graham Fitz Clare is one of three adopted children of Edmund Fitz Clare and a secret agent. And when Graham is given a new assignment he is unprepared for the discoveries he makes. With Grahamís world turning upside down he begins to question everything heís known and must try to find out what is real and whatís not. Also coming into play are his feelings for Estelle and his desire to protect her and his siblings from harm that is close to home.

Kissing Midnight is wickedly captivating. Estelle and Edmundís relationship is deliciously enchanting and sweet. Estelleís lack of awareness of her appeal is a delight to read about and truly endearing when coupled with her big heart. Grahamís need to look out for those he loves and his consequent actions are both endearing and heartbreaking in that Graham now questions his relationship with his father that before was solid. Emma Holly is always great at creating characters and stories that hold readers attention from beginning to end and that never fail to excite. I always look forward to reading anything that Emma Holly creates and this series is sure to be another great addition to her writings.
