Rafe Jerry was nineteen when he walked in on the woman he loved, Dolores, and his father in the throes of passion. Banned from the family ranch and angry at the world, he runs away to war finding out betrayal can be from family and friends.

When Rafe returns to the ranch in California he finds his father dead, a little brother, and the sister of the woman who broke his heart so long ago. The ghosts of the past constantly haunt his mind and harden his heart, but then the love of Maria begins to melt the ice on his heart that was formed so long ago. Of course, Rafe's life can never be that simple. He realizes someone is out to get rid of him and the traitor that caused the death of many of Rafe's compatriots has reared his ugly head. Rafe and Maria have to overcome the dead ghosts of the past if they can ever hope for a future.

Someone Like You is actually a pretty good read. The main characters personalities are very developed. They are enjoyable and engaging. What is so great about this book is how the author gives the background on each character and past event without boring the reader. He gives each character an opportunity to shine individually throughout the story. This is love story that will keep your interest from the first sentence until the last page. Enjoy!
