Emma Cole’s son is getting married, and Emma wants everything perfect. Unfortunately, that means asking her estranged husband to come home and pretend that they are still together. Her husband is more than happy to oblige, he’s still in love with Emma and wants a second chance.

But with a wedding to prepare for, the timing of repairing their marriage couldn’t be worse. Still, there are bigger problems; it seems the mother of the bride has more in mind for her daughter than a small town boy. And she’s determined to break the happy couple up.

Will there even be a wedding to pretend for, or is there a chance for Emma and her husband to work things out in spite of the situations?

Chin Up, Honey is the latest book by this award winning author. Set in a small southern town, the radio broadcasts that the book begins with sounds similar to what you’d hear if you were to tune in my area of the country. Filled with local color, and small town atmosphere, Chin Up, Honey is a fun (and sometimes funny) book to read.

Fans of Ms. Matlock will not be disappointed by this latest book. My big complaint is that she seemed to head-hop quite a bit; she didn’t stay true to point of view at all, which made it quite confusing at times. But if you are looking for a good Southern, small town read, then Chin Up, Honey is a book to consider.
