In the early 1500’s, Night Walker had disturbing visions of blood and violence and feared what it meant for his people. When a ship full of men attack and he helplessly watches as his wife is murdered, Night Walker chases after the killers, but is unable to catch the one responsible for his wife’s death. There on the beach amidst a raging storm he screams in agony, wanting vengeance, wanting to die. Instead he is granted immortality – a chance to live long enough to find and kill the one responsible for the massacre of his village and his wife.

In present day Georgia, Alicia Ponte overhears her father and his business partner conversing about the next shipment of guns they are sending to the terrorists in Iraq. Knowing she’d never be able to hide her discovery she runs, because her father would stop at nothing to protect his secret, not even if it meant killing his daughter. When one of her father’s thugs catches up to her, Alicia is saved by stranger John Nightwalker.

Despite the fact he’s a stranger, Alicia finds herself trusting John and returning with him to his home. John might find himself attracted to Alicia, but what he wants more than anything is her father. Throughout the centuries the soul of the man who wiped out his village has changed bodies, but it is always evil. This is the closest he’s ever gotten and he wants his revenge.

Ms. Sala weaves together a tale of action, romance and a bit of the supernatural to bring readers a heart touching story. John Nightwalker has lived with pain for centuries, and yet he’s still a caring man who can’t seem to resist helping those around him. Alicia is strong and stubborn and will have to open her heart and her mind in order to accept John and his past.
