Spring training is underway and baseball season is just around the corner. It is the perfect time for Kristin Hardy to kick off her Blaze series Under the Covers with Scoring, a story involving America’s Game. Major league baseball has never had a sexy superstar like Mace Duvall, big-league champion, whose career is cut short by an auto accident. After months in the hospital, Mace has retreated to his Florida home, coming to terms with his future. When a good friend convinces him to share his knowledge with a minor league team, Mace decides to give it a try.

The Lowell Weavers locker room looks just like any other, except for one thing. Their trainer and physical therapist is a feisty redhead, Becka Landon. One look at that toned body and sassy attitude and Mace is hooked. Unfortunately, his “reputation” proceeds him. Becka has no intention of being the next notch on his bedpost.

Scoring is a great read. The hero and heroine are very appealing and their story arc is strong. There are several themes running through the book, but none overpower the sizzle and attraction factor of Mace and Becka. Some of the secondary characters are sure to be future books in the series. I can’t wait to see who is next.
