Nixie (Dietlinde N. Schneling as her mom calls her) is a little bitty punk girl with an attitude. Well, not really a girl, she is twenty five. Nixie has everything she thinks she wants, her punk band Guns and Polkas, no 9 to 5 job, and she is able to live on her own (barely). Then there is a threat to her town, Meirs Corner, and she is put in the middle of saving her town. Some big wigs in Chicago want to usurp their town and make it part of the Chicago city limits. No one wants that. Nixie is responsible for coordinating a major festival and raising five hundred thousand dollars to pay for the lawyer who is going to help. However, there is way more going on than meets the natural eye.

In walks “haut” lawyer, Julian Emerson. He is the epitome of tall, dark, and handsome. Was it mentioned he is also a vampire? He was sent to save Meirs Corner from being overtaken by the Chicago Coterie, a league of vampires. Julian did not plan on meeting this little punk girl that caused his pants to stretch every time she is around.

As they get closer to solving the problem, their relationship gets hotter. They are “fapping” all over the city. In the limo Julian perfects the art of “fangalingus”. At her parents house, Julian finds Nixie's masturbation oil, and plays hide the slippery finger with her. Nixie is afraid she is falling in love, and Julian is afraid he can't let her go. Can these two save the town and themselves, too?

Biting Nixie is an enjoyable read for several reasons. Hughes mixes punk, corny, erotic, and paranormal. When the characters meet, you think “Cheeeeesy”. When you get to the blood and vampires, and the super hot sex “Oh Boy!”. This read has a lot of layers you will enjoy peeling off.
