Sabrina Jeffries brings us yet another fresh, fun, sexy tale born out of Regency England.

Lady Clara Stanbourne, proprietress of the Stanbourne Home for the Reformation of Pickpockets, suddenly finds herself in possession of a huge inheritance from one of her rogue uncles. While traveling to the ‘Home’ to try and figure out what she should do with the money and what improvements she can make, she spots one of her charges, dealing with a fearsome looking scoundrel.

Stopping the coach, Clara charges in like an avenging angel, to rescue her little ‘reforming’ pickpocket, before any real trouble can occur. Little did she realize it, but she would come face to face with the most devastatingly, handsome man she’s ever met. Too bad he’s a ‘fence’ (the buyer of stolen goods). Will she ever meet someone like him that is a gentleman? After all she’s not getting any younger.

Captain Morgan Pryce, aka the Honorable Captain Morgan Blakely, is on another mission for his country. He’s to set up a fencing operation and try to catch the notorious Specter. Now that he’s here and ready for business, this irritatingly, beautiful woman charges in and wreaks havoc with his senses. Just what he doesn’t need.

After a heated exchange, Clara and Morgan agree to stay out of each other’s way, but the attraction between them, of course, makes that impossible. When danger and intrigue come calling, can Morgan keep Clara from harm, even if that harm could come from herself?

Ms. Jeffries writes the most wonderful stories, full of mystery, excitement and sensuality. Morgan and Clara are like fire and water. But when they get together, the set the pages aflame. And let me tell you, that Morgan can KISS…he had my knees melting just reading about it. Now that is virtualism!!!

The books secondary characters are not to be missed either. You’ll fall in love with her rag-a-muffin pickpockets. If it weren’t for them, the story wouldn’t have been so much fun. This was a fantastic read and I highly recommend it. It’s sure to be another bestseller, for this very talented author.
