Cyn Malva is a homicide detective and has worked very hard to work her way up to be in charge of things. She has found herself a “lover” who is in special-ops. Rio Rafael, also known as “pretty boy” by the other team members as well as her brothers is making changes in his life. Right now they have a no string relationship and it is just what Cyn wants but Rio wants to change that.

Rio is leaving special-ops and has taken a new job. He will be much closer to Cyn and where she works. His hope is to change her way of thinking about their relationship. What will it take? Will Rio have the patience to show her that they are first-class together and magnificent for each other?

Things have changed though! Cyn becomes a target for a serial killer and Rio will do anything to save her. Will Cyn realize that she’s the target in time? What will it cost Rio? Could it possibly bring the two of them closer? Or will it destroy their attraction? Who is this person that must have Cyn and at what price will it cost them? How many people have died in her place and will they be able to figure it out?

Endangered was a good read but it was far easy for me to put it down. It wasn’t one of those stories that kept me in my seat until the very end. Kathleen Dante confused me with her writing at times and I felt that things could have been explained better. It’s not a keeper for me.
