There is a serial killer loose in Southern California and the FBI think they have a suspect. FBI Special Agent Sonora ďSonnyĒ Vasquez is given an undercover assignment as Summer Ė get close to famed surfer Ben Fortune and determine if he is the serial killer that has been plaguing the San Diego area. Thereís one tiny problem Ė she didnít expect to be pulled into his family so fast, which makes doing her job extremely difficult. Sonny also didnít expect to find the father she never knew and two half-brothers she didnít know she had!

Since his wifeís murder three years prior, Ben Fortune has been a stay-at-home dad for daughter Carly. Living on the ocean made it easy for him to surf when he felt like it. Little did he know that their peaceful existence was about to get blown completely out of the water with the arrival of the Savior, ďSummerĒ, who prevented his daughter from drowning. Carly is a teenager who is experimenting with cutting and other drastic actions, until one night, she meets a boy on the beach. Summer/Sonny canít stand to have a man touch her unless she is in control because of a traumatic childhood, which only tantalizes Ben more.

Jill Sorensonís Crash Into Me is an action-packed book that has a lot going on and at times, it was almost like the mystery of the serial killer was pushed to the background to make room for the romance, not that Iím complaining, mind you! Carly trying to get her man any way possible; Benís still-lingering pain from the death of his wife, his growing feelings for Sonny and then more pain, once he discovers her deception; Sonnyís dismay at her growing feelings for Ben and Carly; the killer prowling around. The serial killer was a surprise to me but makes sense once weíre given the killerís history. Jill Sorenson is an author who packs a punch with her storytelling and keeps on punching! I look forward to more of this authorís work. Havenít read this book yet? Get it NOW and start reading Ė itíll be worth it! Just have the A/C on before you start!
