While boat racer Patrick Berzani is away glass artist Kate Stevens learns she is pregnant with their child. She must make a decision if she wants Patrick for the father or if she will find a “dad” who will almost always be home - and also be a good husband while he’s at it. What Kate doesn’t plan on is Patrick’s reaction to her plans on keeping him out of their child’s life.

When Patrick returns from his last stint of three months with only one short contact he learns of Kate’s plans and he wants to change her mind. The question is will he be able to do this and still enjoy his love of racing? Will he ever figure out why Kate feels so strong about wanting her father’s child home to help raise it? To what extreme measures will Patrick go to for Kate to see how much he not only wants to be a father, but also a good husband? Will she figure out that family is very important not only to him but to his parents and siblings?

Baby on Board by Lisa Ruff was just okay for me. I found it to be like most other stories and there wasn’t much to keep me interested. The topic was like too many others and the same with how the writer wrote the story. It isn’t a keeper for me.
