Katie Kramer has a new attitude on life and a desire to explore all of lifeís possibilities. To that end, she has taken a new job at Wilder Adventures, an outdoor adventure business, as their temporary office manager. So far, Katie has not experienced any real adventures, but that all changes when a very tired Cameron Wilder stumbles into her little cabin and into her bedroom.

Cameron Wilder has been gone for a year in search of a new passion and hope for his life. After a bad snowboarding accident, Camís fame and prestige as an extreme sports celebrity has dwindled and he has finally come home. He never expected to find feisty and intelligent Katie in his bed. Her desire to seek new adventures and thrills fuels his own love of his adventure and he wants to show Katie all the thrills that are available in the Sierras. Katie definitely wants the adventures and challenges Cam promises, but she is also starting to fall for him big time, and that seems to be the scariest challenge of them all.

Katie and Cam heat things up in this fabulous contemporary romance. These characters are both running from something in their life. Katie wants to embrace a new attitude and a new riskier personality, but that is easier said than done when it is her heart on the line. Her job is just temporary after all. How can she be a permanent fixture in Camís life when he spends most of his time wandering the earth, trying to put his past to rest? Cam is intoxicated with Katieís zest for life even as he fears getting too close to her. These two have a cautious but exhilarating love affair. Jill Shalvis makes her characters realistic and likable. Nothing is easy for this duo but it is well worth spending time with them as they come to grips with their feelings and their personal demons.

Adventure and daring never come easy, but to those brave souls, the reward is great, as Cam and Katie finally find out in Instant Attraction. A very solid and satisfying contemporary romance. Jill Shalvis is reaching new heights in her writing career.
