The Holiday Inn was not what I expected at all. I knew that there would be three stories, but I thought that each would take place in the same location. I was a bit disappointed in that for the magic of Christmas all in one place would have been fun to read. Instead each story is in a different location.

In A Change of Heart by Farrah Rochon, Chandra and Derek are going to have one last Christmas as a family with their children, but nature has put a damper on that. They were able to get to the cabin perfectly fine, but the children were not. Everything is shut down because of a terrible snow storm. Is this a sign that these two might be able to find what brought them together in the first place? Will their children arrive and spoil their time alone? Will these two find that their love is still there - past the hurt and miscommunication? Is a divorce still in the future?

Can You Believe by Stefanie Worth lets Naymond and Fallon see where their marriage maybe going. Does a glance of a weekend in the future let them change things before it ruins their marriage? Will their one year anniversary be their last? Can Naymond's fame ruin them or is Fallon strong enough to trust what her husband tells her?

By New Year’s Day by Phyllis Bourne Williams is a touching love story. Devon has made plans to save his marriage. Eve is so wrapped up in the children and grandchildren she is leaving her retired husband behind. When Devon sets up a romantic retreat for the two of them will Eve let the phone calls from their children ruin their time to rekindle the love they have for each other? Does she learn that they are first for a change and that their grown children should act like grown adults?

This book was okay! Not a keeper for my shelf.
