Hot Mail by Janice Maynard was not a disappointment to me. She has once again kept the pages of this book scorching for not just one couple but for two, one that were once best-friends and the other just meeting for the first time.

Jane has loved Ethan for an incredibly long time but he has always treated her as his best friend or like a sister. Jane decides to take matters into her own hands and sets out to get his attention with some very erotic Valentines. While this plan is set into action there seems to be a problem at her store – and with Ethan being the Assistant Chief of Police, he is able to ride to her rescue. The one difficulty is now that Ethan realizes he has stronger emotions for Jane and he also feels he may have a stalker. Will he be able to figure out who might be stalking him and protect Jane at the same time?

Sherry is Ethan’s younger sister and she has taken up an offer to cook two or three times a week for the officers at the station - good healthy meals. Not only will this help Sherry out financially, but keep her busy since her daughter has decided to move in with her Dad so she can go to school there. Randy is one of the officers that Ethan’s has under his command and he really likes Sherry a lot. There is an age difference and Sherry puts all stops to any romance between the two of them - she thinks Randy would be better off with a younger woman. Randy thinks she’s wrong and sets out to change her mind. What will bring these two together?

I love this book! Every page captures the story that is put together very well. It is one book you will have to get - because it will become a keeper for you as it has for me!
