Julia is a former top spy with the CIA. Now she works under an assumed name with the same organization but not as a spy. After her lover was killed in a booby trap she took a long time to fall for another man and that was her boss Michael.

But her dead lover, Flynn, wakes her in the dead of night and is still very much alive. His death had been faked to try to uncover a plot deep within the CIA.

It is a very complicated story with so many characters, that I had a job keeping track of their connection to each to each other.

The best part is the love triangle with Julia still having very strong feelings for Flynn and yet caring deeply for Michael, who Flynn suspects is involved in the CIA plot. Julia wants to believe he is innocent. She wants to prove to Flynn that he is and Flynn seems set on finding him guilty.

There are quite a few others in the organization with their own agendas.

The plot may be difficult to follow but it is well thought out. Trying to keep track of all the characters and their backgrounds and how they relate to perhaps being the guilty party is an awful lot to take in. It made it a slow read for me as I kept having to flip back to check if I could place where a certain character fitted to keep the thread of the story.

Mind you this is my take on the story. I do enjoy a good romantic suspense but not such an involved story.

I was glad to finish it! Just 3.5 roses from me. Sorry!
