What could an out of work actress possibly have in common with a successful single father who is also a sportscaster? Thanks to a Reality TV dating show and this clever novel by Lisa Plumley they, and we, get the chance to find out.

The answer is simple. Nothing. Nothing except the fact that one look and both of them get “that” tingle. This is romance at its best. Sparkling, witty, fun and passionate, Jake Jarvis and Marley Madison are two lovers pulled inevitably together in spite of the fact that he’s a double-play fan and she’s a shopaholic. If you’ve read any of Lisa Plumley’s previous romances, you’ll be used to her lively combination of romance and comedy, and this great new story is right up there with her best.

I laughed out loud at Marley’s conversion from celebrity to every-day girl, and really enjoyed the things she did to G.I. Joe. (Read this book, I’m NOT giving away spoilers.) But it’s the things she did to Jake that are the foundation of this romance. She twists his heart, loves him, charms his little boy, turns his life upside down, and makes him ache for her. It’s a ‘can’t put it down’ book, with love and laughter on every page.

If you’re ready to leave your everyday world and join a couple who are falling in love in the most unlikely way, then this is the book for you. Lisa Plumley just keeps getting better and better, and if you haven’t tried one of her stories, you’re missing out on an excellent read. Perfect Together lives up to its name. It’s “perfect”.
