Elizabeth Lowell has done what every writer wants to do, written a first book in a series that compels you to want to read whatever will follow. She has also done what every reader wants her to do, not only deliver a great story but re-introduce characters from previous stories.

If you are an Elizabeth Lowell fan then cast your mind back to around 1993 do you remember Erik the Learned from her Untamed/Forbidden/Enchanted series of books a strong character, but what happened to him? Was that some of the Donovan's from the Amber Beach Series in there as well? Will Lawe Donovan be re-introduced later? So many questions, will we get the answers?

Moving Target is a great book to read, we start off with terror and murder and from there the story unfolds. Reincarnation - yes, a solitary woman and her knight trying to piece together not only the present but the past as well, will love bloom or be doomed before it has had a chance, an endless cycle repeating itself - maybe. Their story is told with all it's twists and turns and all the major players are in place to make sure that any future books will be just as compelling.

I loved this book and I recommend it to anybody who wants an enjoyable and compelling read, I will be waiting with baited breath for the next installment and look forward to being transported once again to a place where love is all the magic you really need, in the past or in the present.
