Penelope Odis is forty, divorced, and way too polite to ask for what she wants. She was raised to be nice, polite, and sexually inhibited. She has a crush on her co-worker, Herman, but she is too ashamed to let him know how she feels. Penny fears rejection. Not only that she has deep, dark fantasies she would love to bring into fruition, but she is ashamed and afraid to act on them. Suddenly, a gift certificate from her co-worker leads her on a journey of sexual exploration and complete gratification.
Circe, Calypso, and Hermes have one duty to the world, and that is helping humankind realize their sexual potential. When Penny's car stops and she falls down a cliff, it is a trip that will change her entire life. She enters a world of sexual decadence beyond her wildest dreams. As she interacts with these mythical creatures, they each elevate her awareness of herself and those around her. Circe, Calypso, and Hermes ensure that every pleasure Penny has fantasized about is fulfilled. Can she take what she has learned and apply it to her own life?
Circe's Charms gently weaves mythology with reality. Gilmore creates an erotic world of pleasure and fantasy. The sex scenes are so hot and detailed; you will have to find gratification for yourself. They only problem in this story is there need to be a part two. Gilmore alludes to Circe's feelings towards Penny, but she explores it no further. I would have liked for Gilmore to develop some aspects of the story more, but all in all: Give us more Sheri Gilmore, Give us more.
