Brazen and Burning is the second installment of The Bad Girls Club and fits the definition. Romance author Sydney “Slow Burn” Colburn may write about “happily ever after”, but what she has always looked for is “red hot right now.”
After walking away from the prospect of a serious relationship with architect Adam Brody, Sydney feels that there is something missing in her life. She is determined to find Adam, even though he dropped from sight about a year ago. Once she finds him, she discovers that his memory of their affair has changed dramatically.
Brazen and Burning is an excellent story. The characters are vivid and memorable. The suspenseful sub-plot is not overwhelming, but definitely keeps the reader interested. The love scenes were steamy and sensual. As a Florida resident, I especially enjoyed the addition of familiar Tampa locations, which enhanced the visual image of the romantic settings.
