Kit March is a Lycan hunter – a rouge Lycan hunter. The reason she’s rouge is because NODEAL – The National Organization Against Ancient and Evolving Lycanthropes – doesn’t feel females should be hunters. She feels she’s been trained by the best so she will continue to hunt. In the middle of one of these hunts, she encounters another hunter, Rafe Santiago. Rafe is a hunter of rouge hunters who works for EFLA – The European Federation of Lycan Hunters – and he’s hunting Kit, as well as her brother. Luckily her brother is out of town and Kit’s not talking. However, Rafe isn’t tracking them to kill them – he has something else in mind. When she finds out that her “handler” was murdered, she decides maybe it’s time for her to leave town for a bit, as a precaution. However, Rafe doesn’t quit hunting her and it’s a very good thing he doesn’t since the entire Lycan race is now after her! As Rafe and Kit are on the run, Kit meets with a near tragedy that causes Rafe to do something drastic to save her life. He also has to tell her the truth about herself….and him! Will she understand or will she hate him forever?
Kiss of a Dark Moon by Sharie Kohler is an enjoyable novel that packs a punch. Kit is a hard-headed strong heroine, until she has a TSTL moment. While I understood her need at the time, it was still stupid. Her hard-headedness causes her more problems than not because she’s so focused. Rafe had to be one of the most patient heroes I’ve ever read and with Kit, he had to be! The man deserved a medal but instead got the woman of his dreams! The author throws us a curve ball at the end that I certainly didn’t see coming but I did appreciate! Thanks, Ms. Kohler!
