Author Cara Summers has added a new book to her 2007 Angelis family series, with Lie With Me, featuring Philly Angelis, Kitís younger sister.
When all of the drama was over, and Roman Oliver was in the hospital recovering from his wounds, Philly realized that her schoolgirl crush on her brotherís friend had transformed into a bad case of lust. Never one to let opportunity slip away, Philly worked up enough courage to tell Roman how she felt. Unfortunately, the feelings were not mutual, or so Roman claimed.
Nursing her bruised pride, and ashamed that she still longed for Roman, Philly decided to take a vacation to Greece. After all, her family has a history of finding true love in their homeland. Even if she doesnít find Mr. Right, at least she can have some fun with Mr. Right Now!
Roman canít get over Phillyís startling revelation. He knew she had a crush on him, but she was strictly off limits as his best friendís sister. Of course, she had grown into a beautiful woman, and Roman was only human. Still, he does the right thing in turning her down. He was not marriage material, and Philly was definitely a woman to marry. When he learned about her hare-brained scheme to have a fling in Corfu, he was so aggravated that he took the next plane to Athens. He does have business interests overseas, but his main focus would be to make sure there was no monkey-business on the beach!
Lie With Me has everything a reader could want Ė a bold, determined heroine, a sexy hero and a mystery to solve. There was only one thing that kept this book from my highest rating. The constant change from first person (Philly) to third person was so annoying that I almost gave up on this book. I am not sure what prompted Ms. Summers into trying this technique, but I hope she does not employ it again soon. Readers who are not as critical as I am will be treated with a wonderful story.
