The writing team of Liz Allison and Wendy Etherington know NASCAR. Liz wrote the popular Girls Guide to NASCAR, and Wendy has several other NASCAR-themed romances in her backlist. When they teamed up to introduce readers to the Garrison family, I was hooked.

With the wedding of Cade Garrison and his lovely fiancée Isabel headed for the finish line, big sister Rachel Garrison has her hands full. The Cup season is in full throttle, and Cade’s success on the track contributes the family happiness off the track. With their parents surprising decision to divorce, and Rachel’s own lousy track record with men, she has sworn off dating anyone associated with racing.

Parker Huntington has made peace with the Garrisons. After last year’s spectacular fight and sponsorship removal, the hotel magnate has buried the hatchet. He is back on board with Cade Garrison and they have worked through their personal issues. They are even moving toward friendship – except for one small problem. Parker still wants Rachel in his bed.

Both Parker and Rachel have enough baggage from their families to fill the cargo hold of a steamship, but it doesn’t seem to matter. Sparks fly whenever they are together, and nothing seems to cool the flames. Even Rachel’s request of “friendship” makes Parker’s teeth grind, and when she asks for his help to uncover some missing company funds, it is all he can do to keep his hands off her. How much longer can this go on?

Risking Her Heart will keep readers riveted to the pages, as the plot moves smoothly from track to track as the racing schedule goes into high gear. There is plenty of humor and strong emotion to hold the groove and take the tight turns with ease. I can’t wait to see what this talented duo has planned for big brother Bryan.
