Always A Mother will show a love story that started in the third grade. Clair and Dean found a love that no one could break. Just weeks before graduation Clair discovers she is expecting a baby and one that would change their lives forever but not the love they have for each other. Dean was able to pursue his life in football and even made a career out of it after an injury. Clairís parents decided to cut ties with her because she decided to keep their baby.

Now their two girls are grown and Clair can finally pursue her dream of going to college full time. Just two weeks before classesí start she gets news; she is going to be a Mother again. She has many doubts about this pregnancy for she does not want to be a mother. What if she cannot give this baby the love she was able to give her girls? Isnít it her time to do what she wants? Clair needs some time to adjust and figure out just what this pregnancy means to her, so she goes to the house they have on the Lake. She does not take much but grabs the letters that she has written Dean over the years. In the mean time Dean does not know what to do to help Clair. He knows their love will get them through this as it did almost losing one child years ago in a car accident. He also knows that the peace they have made with Clair parents then will help, along with his own Mom. But what will it take for Clair to realize she will be a great Mother again and still do the things she wants.

I loved the idea of how this book was written. So many times I want to know the full history of a relationship between two people and Linda Warren has given me that is Always A Mother. She let us see the love that Clair and Dean had from day one. It also showed us how strong a parentís love can be for their children. Itís a keeper for me!
