Faefever is the third story in Karen Marie Moningís Fever series and possibly the most intense of the stories to date.

MacKayla Lane is still on the hunt for the deadly Sinsar Dubh. She still cannot get close to it without becoming sick and extremely uncomfortable. But Mac has been paying attention and she has found a way to track the book. Unfortunately, she is still not sure what to do with it if she actually gets it.

Seelie Prince Vílane has his own motivations for wanting the book, as does the enigmatic Jericho Barrons. Macís alliances with these two men are tenuous at best and seem to be changing all the time. Can she ever really trust them, or must she make new allies, and new enemies, in her quest to reach the book?

The tension continues to mount as All Hallowsí Eve approaches. Trouble is brewing in Dublin and Mac is trying hard to stop the Unseelie from gaining anymore ground. It is not an easy battle, especially when her allies seem not as focused on the greater good as she is. Mac has a war ahead of her. Who can she trust? Is she as alone as she thinks?

Faefever is explosive with new developments, new questions, and just enough answers to keep readers satisfied. Mac continues to mature as a character, but she faces setbacks and pitfalls too. The relationships evolve in this book also. Barrons is just as enigmatic as ever, as is Vílane, but readers will come to understand more of their concerns regarding the Sinsar Dubh.

Mac is once again the star and readers will be agog at the challenges she faces, particularly the ending. Oh Ms. Moning, what a web you weave. Faefever has thrills, scares, and plenty of action. This is a series not to be missed.
