May Northcott is on a mission and her twin Cyrene is along for the ride. Normally, this won’t end well for May, or Mayling as her sister calls her, and tonight is no exception. Running from the mage she’s just stole from, thanks to an order by her demon lord, May finds herself in an even crazier situation… a house full of dragons and one very pregnant woman. When she accidentally drinks the wrong glass and survives dragons blood, May is claimed as a wyvern’s mate. Oh, she so doesn’t need this right now. She’s a doppelganger who’s bound to the service of a demon lord and whose twin is being blackmailed. Nope, no time for hot silver eyed dragons right now.

Gabriel Tauhou can’t believe he eyes nor luck when he finds May. Amazingly, he’s the only one who can see her when she shadows, a trick only doppelganger’s can do. Gabriel always thought he would go through life unmated due to a curse that no mate would be born for a silver dragon. But May wasn’t born, she was created by Cyrene. He must do everything in his power to make her understand that she is his mate.

Katie MacAlister’s newest installment into her dragon world Playing with Fire is just as hot and action packed as her last four books. You will need to read them first, because the entire cast of characters from the green dragon series is here in the first book of her silver dragon series.

May is one tough woman, she withstands a lot of pressure, but when Gabriel starts working on her, it’s no contest. She cares deeply for those around her and will stop at nothing to protect them. Gabriel is your typical dragon wyvern, he’s bossy, possessive, passionate, and irresistible. Together these two rock the pages of this story. The ending will have you screaming as I did. That only means that I’m waiting with bated breath for the next silver dragon book. Ms. MacAlister proves time and again that she is one of the best paranormal authors out there with this action packed, funny, and romantic story.
