The Time Hunters series begins with Warrior but is a concept originally introduced in Janeís Warlord. This new series takes place 25 years later.
The Temporal Enforcement Agency is comprised of teams who go back to the past to try and stop crimes and murder which have been committed by non-earthling killers. On a mission to save Jessica Kelly, Galar and his team are taken off guard and donít arrive in time to stop the attack, but they do prevent Jessica from being killed. She sustains a serious injury and must be taken with them to the future to save and then protect her.
Jessica thought being woken up in the middle of the night to find a monster attacking her scary, but to wake up again and find herself in a different century is just as hard to accept. Galar is determined to keep her safe from a threat he knows isnít over and keeping her by his side is the only way he can do that. He admires the woman who despite being rather weak, fought with all she had to stay alive.
Galar has been burned by love when his former lover was revealed as a spy and almost killed him before he was able to take her down first. Since then heís been less than willing to trust anyone, women in particular. But he canít deny the very strong attraction he feels towards Jessica and itís obvious she is attracted to him as well.
While Galar has his hands full trying to stop the Xerans, Jessica is trying to understand why she seems to have powers sheís never had before. And when medical tests prove sheís not all human, Galar once again faces the fear that heís being used.
While the suspense plot could very well stand on its own, Angela Knight punches it up several notches with an erotic romance - which she is oh so talented at - making this book a very difficult one to put down once youíve gotten to know her incredible characters. Secondary characters bring a refreshing humor to the story and I certainly hope we donít have to wait long for the next installment in this series.
