When Tor Books decided to launch their paranormal romance line a few years ago, author Susan Kearney was one of the first to join. Readers had come to know her through her work with various Harlequin imprints and she could be counted on to deliver novels that offered more than the usual romantic plot.

After several sci-fi romance novels for Tor, she has written Dancing with Fire, a taut romantic suspense. From the explosive opening to the epilogue, readers will be riveted to the action as it unfolds.

Kaylin Danner gave up her dream of dancing on Broadway to take care of her sister and father. As a dance instructor, she finds some fulfillment in her students, but the desire to perform onstage is still calling her.

Just when she is ready to make a break for New York, her father is killed in a lab explosion. Was it an accident or something more? His partner, Sawyer Scott, has reason to believe that someone else was behind the tragedy. As more suspicious events threaten Kaylin and her sister, Sawyer knows it is up to him to keep them safe.

Kaylin does not like depending on Sawyer. She doesn’t have much use for men like her father – dreamers who neglect the realities of life. While he does seem to have her safety as a priority, she knows better than to count on him when the chips are down. He has a lot to prove and she has her own issues to resolve. With a killer on the loose, they will have to work together to get to the bottom of this mystery.
