Parker McCall is in Paris, running for his life, when the call he never wanted comes in. The Russian Embassy has been overtaken and those inside taken hostage. Thatís not exactly the bad news, Kate Hamilton, Parkerís ex-fiancť is among the hostages. Parkerís given permission to go in and be a one-man rescue team to one woman.

Kateís changed a lot since breaking up with her foreign correspondent, never around fiancť, but apparently some things never change. Like Parkerís refusal to tell her who he really is and her extreme attraction to him. For the next 72 Hours, Kate must battle her fears, desires, and to stay alive with the only man sheís ever loved.

This is the second SDDU (Special Designation Defense Unit) book by author Dana Marton and the second book of hers Iíve found difficult to put down until it was finished. Parker struggles with his orders to not divulge anything about his job to Kate. He still loves her and does everything in his power to save her. He is one HOT man! Kate struggles to remember why she broke up with Parker, but the more she learns about him the more she realizes that Parker is not who she thought he was. Kate also does everything in her power to insure that Parker rescues not only her but everyone who was captured with her.

Ms. Marton brings the reader another action packed book, with true to reality situations regarding hostages, she doesnít gloss over anything. Itís why I find her hard to put down and an author Iím more than happy to read over and over again.
