One Foot in the Grave is the sequel to Halfway to the Grave. Iím glad I spotted One Foot In The Grave at the bookstore. I didnít realize I had the first one at home, until going through the books from RT. Needless to say, the next day I was at the bookstore buying One Foot In The Grave. Iím glad I did. The story is fantastic and it takes place four years after the first one ended.
Cat is half vampire and half human. It makes for an interesting combination as the vampires do not realize what she is until it is too late. Cat no longer works with Bones who pretty much taught her everything she knows. No now she is a Special Agent with a group of other agents that go after the vampires and pretty much anything else that goes bump in the night. Vampires are number one on their list.
Cat hasnít seen Bones since she left him four years ago. Cat now has a price on her head and Bones is about the only one who can keep her safe and still let her do her job. Cat is still very much in love with Bones but she left him to keep him safe and out of harm's way.
Bones arrives back in Catís life and takes up where he pretty much left off. Bones doesnít care about Catís colleagues or her mother, just that they will have to deal with them. A showdown is what takes place with a few of them.
One Foot In The Grave is a delightful story that will have you reading the story straight through. The story is fast paced with a trip down memory lane, quite a few twist and turns and a few more characters to liven up the story. If you like or even love paranormal stories, then One Foot In The Grave is for you as well as Halfway to the Grave. Jeaniene Frost is a talented author whom I look forward to reading more of her stories.
