When Matlin realises she has an intruder in her house she is terrified. She knows who it is when she hears that the man who abused her as a child has been released from prison. She rushes from her home without waiting to put shoes on, gets in her car and drives off. When she runs out of gas she flags down a motor home driven by Andreas. He comes to her rescue.
This is a wonderfully fast paced story. The tension makes the reader gasp. The characters are very real and the stalker is so evil it fairly bristles out the pages. He is really frightening.
Matlin is a great heroine and she is so ashamed of the abuse she suffered as a child she cannot talk about it and fears she won't ever be able to have a normal relationship with a man. But when she meets Andreas she knows he is a man who sets her blood racing.
Andreas was happy with his life until he met Matlin. He knows she is hiding her past but he is attracted to her and is frustrated that she won't trust him.
The sexual tension between Andreas and Matlin is exciting and believable. The fear that Matlin feels from her stalker is so authentic it makes the reader desperate to have this evil man caught and locked away so that she can get peace from him.
No words are wasted with this story, it is a book you can't put down until you finish it. It is such a satisfying read.
I happily recommend you get a copy of Stalker from her Past and can assure you a great read. A 5 rose review from me. |
