This scorching story has an erotic novelist as the heroine, so get ready for a thrilling tale of sensual delights and searing attraction. Amethyst Fortuna Smythe-Davies, aka Misty Fortune, is a best-selling novelist whose known for erotic tales. The problem is that her own love life is a little lacking. So, just like any other writer, she decides to do some research in Las Vegas at a new adult resort, Blackstone’s, that promises to cater to any and every fantasy their guests can imagine. What she doesn’t expect is murder.

Tucker Greywolf is visiting Las Vegas, too. He is attending a series of seminars about forensics that might come in handy back home, where he serves as the fire marshal. He is thrilled to be asked to help the local police investigate a murder, and even more surprised when he encounters Misty, in one of the bedchambers!

These two characters nearly set the pages on fire and the author sure knows how to write a good scene! In fact, the only thing I didn’t like about this book was the fact that the fabulous resort setting got lost in the plot. It has a lot of potential and I hope Ms. Kauffman is planning on a return visit! I also felt that introducing a murder and then not resolving it conclusively was poor planning. I was wondering if they caught the killer when the book was over. If you just want a good sensual romance with plenty of action and spice, this is the book for you.
