Ms. Janzen continues her fast paced series and brings us back to Steele Street and some familiar characters we so enjoyed reading about in previous books.

CIA operative Zachary Prade – whom we met in On the Loose going by the name of Alejandro Campos – has been living the life of a drug lord for the past eight years. When he’s called home he knows his cover is blown and wonders what’s in store for him. Then he learns the target he’s been sent after is Lily Robbins, the woman he can’t get off his mind.

Lily had been in Central America three weeks before and witnessed a murder. Now everyone believes she has the key to a very important and encoded file. It is yet to be determined if she’s oblivious of the fact or is instead very aware of what she holds.

Soon after arriving at Lily’s house to keep an eye on her, all hell breaks loose and he and Lily are on the run from an untold number of bad guys as well as the police. Zach knows it’s imperative to get to Steele Street if he wants to protect Lily. When they have to lay low for a few hours the two are finally able to begin exploring the overwhelming desire they’ve had for each other since the moment they met.

A secondary story line reveals how several people would love to get their hands on Red Dog. Her brother arrives at their Steele Street headquarters to offer his sister protection, and soon realizes she’s more than capable of protecting herself. But his trip may not be a total waste of time when he finds himself working with, and attracted to, computer guru Cherie Hacker.

As in the previous books there are a lot of characters rushing around and quite a bit of computer and weapons speak. But when you get past all that you are left with a fun and sexy story bound to give you an adrenaline rush.
