If the cover alone doesnít tempt you to pick up this book, then the blurb on the back will surely entice you into taking it home with you, curling up under a fluffy blanket and indulging your senses for a few hours.
This story is about Anne Kennedy Ė a wife, a sister, a daughter, a woman. She is content in her marriage and loves her husband James, although she canít say the same thing about his mother. When his best friend Alex, whom he hasnít seen in years, calls to say heíll be in town, James invites him to stay with them.
Anne doesnít know what to expect from Alex and her husband has never explained why their friendship suffered a setback several years earlier. But from the moment Alex walks in the door, Anne knows her life is going to change. Heís very different from her husband and as she spends time with him she realizes how much he could hurt her, and her happy life.
Anne is also busy with her three sisters as they plan an anniversary party for their parents. As they get together we also learn more about each sister as well as some of their parentsí secrets. As the oldest Anne has always felt responsible for her younger sisters, and has felt she has to fill the role of the perfect daughter, a role for which sheís not suited.
While Tempted contains several sensual and graphic sex scenes, the book as a whole is about so much more than sex. The story is about marriage and about family. Itís about dealing with pesky mother-in-laws and alcoholic fathers. Itís about four sisters and their love for each other despite their differences. Itís about a woman who thinks she has to be perfect in order to be loved. This is probably the most realistic erotic romance Iíve ever read and despite the fact itís already longer than most books in this genre, I wasnít ready for the story to end.
