The Midlands, England 1204
Watching her loyal soldiers struck down violently by vicious mercenaries for reasons unknown, Lady Elizabeth d’Averette flees the scene of carnage with her maid. Just as they are about to be raped by these villains, they are saved by a handsome warrior who faces down the attackers with a unique combination of cunning and strength assisted by his young companion. The man, whom they had met earlier in their journey, had claimed to be a nobleman, but the truth soon comes about, he is an outlaw, wanted for his many misdeeds against the crown!
Finn is in a true bind. Trying to figure a way into Lord Wimarc’s Castle to rescue his half-brother, Ryder, Lady Lizette presents the perfect opportunity. With her help, they can pose as a nobleman and his wife who were invited to meet Wimarc and share in his hospitality. Each with their own agenda against the sinister Wimarc, Lizette and Finn enter their enemy’s clutches and begin a web of deceit. As danger looms over them for every minute they stay at Wimarc’s keep, the two grow closer and begin to feel real passion during their play-acting. If they survive this dangerous mission, could a gently born lady come to love a common born son of a whore? Only a Knave’s Honor could bring this about.
Margaret Moore knows how to serve up the perfect medieval tale……well done! Knave’s Honor is the third in her d’Averette sisters trilogy and keeps the excitement flowing as we follow the adventures of Elizabeth aka Lizette who yearns for something more then the ho-hum rigors of court life and finds it with the outlaw known as Finn. Finn, a street smart survivor is a great anti-hero. A page turner from start to end, I loved every minute of Knave’s Honor and you will too!
