Dani Peterson is not the type of woman Shayne Mahoney is usually attracted to. As she makes a less than elegant entrance at his party, he does notice she is curvy and has porcelain skin. Dani has a reputation for being different from her family and perhaps a bit crazy. She works with zoo animals and is often more comfortable with them than human interactions. Dani questions her own sanity by the end of the party after she sees a dead body that disappears, without a trace, by the time she summons help.

Shayne has his own reputation as a ladies' man, but lately he feels he may be losing his touch since women have turned him down for a second date. Dani is an enigma. He wants to protect her, but there is something too tantalizing to resist everything time Shayne is near Dani. Can love break through the barriers that the two have built around their hearts?

Both Dani and Shayne are intriguing characters. They have to deal with family issues along with their own personal quirks. The author has a real ear for dialogue and all the characters are fully fleshed out. There are plenty of spicy love scenes. The mystery of the disappearing body gives extra depth to this entertaining escapade.

I have been a big fan of Ms. Shalvis for a while and heartily recommend any book with her name on the cover. Strong and Sexy is a fitting title for her latest novel that is sure to be a winner with all discriminating romance readers.
