It was cold and raining when Miss Beatrice Shelton ran away from her father's house in the middle of the night. She has just escaped being raped by the local curate when her father accuses her of being a harlot and beats her severely. Her only thought was to get away and start her life over.

Sir Harry Boyd, Earl of Dunsmere, was headed to the home of his friend Louisa Cellini for a little rest when he almost runs over Beatrice lying by the side of the road, frozen and deathly ill. He takes her to Louisa's home, Montvale House to recuperate. When she awakens in a delirium she thinks that she is dead and he is an angel. She wants him to show her the pleasures she was never going to experience. Harry, not wanting to take advantage of her and excited about the opportunity of worshipping her sweet bottom, brings her to climax without actually having intercourse.

Later, after she has healed from her ordeal and Louisa has introduced her to the pleasures of her secret room filled with "toys", Beatrice decides that she wants to enter a convent. In her anger and pain she feels that she is unworthy to be a wife. Harry and Louisa think this is a mistake and band together to try to help her to lose her anger and open herself to love. What follows between Harry, Beatrice and a few accessories is hot enough to melt ice.

Miss Beatrice's Bottom is the second book in the Tales of the Beau Monde trilogy by Sahara Kelly. I didn't have the pleasure of reading book 1, although I don't think it is necessary. I am definitely looking forward to the next installment.
