In her newest book, Remain Silent, Jamie Denton takes readers into the world of art restoration and reproduction. As the story opens Jonathon Litton, one of the co-owners of Artifacts, an up and coming company in art restoration and reproduction, has been brutally murdered. His partner, Laurel Jennings, is the prime suspect, and is termed an ice princess for the heartless front she puts forward.

Laurel continually proclaims her innocence, but no lawyer wants to represent her as she is accused of murdering one of the echelons of society, and every lawyer that her friend Damon Metcalf has contacted refuses to defend her claiming a conflict of interest. It becomes apparent that Laurelís only hope at a good defense is Damon himself.

Is Laurel really responsible for Jonathonís death, or is there something sinister afoot. With Laurelís arrest the police and ADA Rosen believe theyíve gotten their manÖor woman as the case may be. Is this the end of the investigation or just the beginning? For the answer to that question youíll have to read Remain Silent for yourself.

As Remain Silent unfolds there are untold secrets that could be exposed. Are those secrets tied to Laurel? Are they tied to Jonathon? Could they even be tied to someone else? I was totally engrossed and intrigued as I read, and could hardly put Remain Silent down.

Ms. Denton did an excellent job of keeping the story flowing. The many threads tied together, and the suspense at a high level until the last page was turned. I know that with my next trip to the bookstore Iíll be looking for more by Jamie Denton.
