Adopted Son was such a delightful story and a quick enjoyable read.
Linda Warren shared a story where the hero had great character. I took pleasure in the fact that the hero has a large heart for others and I promise this book gives you that plus tenderness.
Jeremiah “Tuck” Tucker is a Texas Ranger and responds to a call and finds a neglected two years-old male child, Brady, who is living in conditions that are unbelievable. After he learns that the child has no living relatives Tuck decides he will adopt this child for his own and starts the process.
Grace Whitten is a lawyer who has been approached by a family friend who wants to adopt Brady after hearing his story. They have been trying to have a child and nothing has ever happened so they are hoping to adopt and have asked Grace for her help.
When Tuck learns that someone else would like to adopt Brady and finds out it is Grace who is representing the couple, he is furious and wonders just what her intentions really are. There comes a time when Tuck finds out why all the questions and actually sees Grace with a different light.
Who will adopt Brady? Will the couple back out or give Brady a loving home? If not, will Tuck still want to take this child into his home? Will Grace have to step out of the picture for she may be having strong feelings for Tuck?
Adopted Son is part of a five series book, which I did not know. Can this book stand-alone? YES!! It is a touching story and I am hoping to be able to locate the other four in the series so that I may read about the rest of the family.
