Millicent Blair, a small town girl, never expected that when her aunt Beatrice called her to London for a favor she would end up writing a scandal sheet. It goes against all that she believes, but she can`t refuse her aunt the favor.

Chandler Preswick, the Earl of Dunraven is sick of the scandal sheets. He and his two friends, known as the Terrible Threesome are one of the biggest objects of gossip in London. So, naturally, many of aunt Beatrice`s columns mention them, much to Chandler`s annoyance.

The Earl of Dunraven, who is a notorious rake, has put aside his pursuit of pleasures to find the Mad Ton Thief, who has stolen a family artifact. But something about Millicent distracts him, and soon he and Millicent are thrown into the middle of a Regency mystery.

A Dash of Scandal would be an enjoyable book for anyone who was a fan of the Regency period. I, however, remain unimpressed. I couldn`t connect to the characters, and became rather annoyed at the heroine`s continued disbelief of how wicked and mean people could be.

If you have read Amelia Grey before, or are a great fan of the regency period, I`m sure you`d love this book. But otherwise, I wouldn`t recommend it.
