It had taken centuries for Max Bannister`s family to acquire their treasures. Now he`s been asked to put them at risk to lure a master thief. For reasons of his own, Max agrees and work begins on the "Mysteries Past" exhibit.

After becoming curator for the collection, Morgan West soon finds that she feels as if she`s being watched. As if the very walls have eyes. Thinking she`s being silly, she throws the feelings off. She has no way of knowing how close she was to the truth.

Soon, through a chain of events, she comes face to face with the man known to the world as Quinn, a notorious thief. He has made it clear to her that he has an eye on the Bannister collection, and she vows that he`ll never touch it.

But soon, events take place that cause people to question others, people they have trusted for as long as they could remember.

Kay Hooper took several books, The Touch of Max, Hunting the Wolfe, The Trouble with Jared and All For Quinn and put them all into two books. This book covers The Touch of Max and Hunting The Wolfe picking up as Max leaves on his honeymoon.

The romance in this book leaves the reader questioning who is the heroine. At first, the reader is led to believe it`s Morgan West, and then we discover that it`s actually Storm Tremaine, the woman brought in to do the computer security on the exhibit. Even as the book ended, I was craving more of Morgan and Quinn, dying to know what would happen next.

This is a wonderful story with beautifully smooth interaction between the characters and a fast pace story that I would love to reread and I highly recommend. Don`t miss out on the mystery of "Mysteries Past"!
