Ivy Dearing doesn’t believe in love. As the daughter of an infamous madam, Ivy believes in lust at first. But love is for fools. The only man to tempt her is Saint, and he is no ordinary man. Saint is a six hundred year old vampire who stays away from humans to save himself the pain of their loss. Circumstances throw them together, and they must search for a killer who is murdering Ivy’s friends. Showing no fear, Ivy throws herself into the investigation. Her only goal is to stop a killer.

Falling in love with Saint is not on her agenda but he isn’t the only man fighting for Ivy’s affections. The dependable Justin Fontaine also wants Ivy to be his wife. But when the killer turns his attentions toward Ivy, Saint is determined to risk everything to save her – even his own immortality.

Taken By The Night is a delicious tale of romance, timeless love and sizzling sex. The second part of the Brotherhood of the Blood series introduces us to a strong, sensual heroine who knows what she wants and knows how to get it. Perfectly matching the character of Ivy is the vampire Saint – dangerous, dark and deadly- he sweeps Ivy off her feet and makes her believe that love is more than just physical lust. The story is well paced and the plot keeps you reading well into the night! Ms. Smith establishes a fabulous twist to the genre of vampire romance with the introduction of the Order of the Silver Palm – a nemesis Order hell bent on taking something from the Brotherhood, what that something is the reader does not find out in this book.

With witty banter, strong characters and a romance that proves love really can conquer all, Taken By The Night is a must read for any fan of paranormal romance.
