Susannah Thorpe learns she has inherited not only Harstairs House, but also everything else Mr. Harstairs had . He was once engaged to Susannahís aunt, but the wedding never took place and he never married. There is one catch, she has to reside in the house for thirty days. If she leaves the ground for any reason, she will lose everything.


Oliver Bristow has rented Harstairs House for awhile. He is concerned Susannah will learn the real reason he and his friends are there. He lets her believe he is smuggling items in and out at odd hours, its safer for her this way. He didnít anticipate him falling in love with her. If she learns the real reason he is there, it might just cause of them to lose their lives.


Susannah and Oliver have different reasons why they need to be in the house. They will need to get along and live in harmony for just a small while. When Susannah discovers secret passage ways in the house, she may put everyone in danger without really knowing she has.


Amanda Grange writes from the heart. It reads like gothic romance, which is a great thing. Secrets, intrigue, love, lies, its all there for the reader to enjoy. Highly recommended.
