In her newest Sam and Rick adventure, Suzanne Enoch tackles matters of the heart and of the sword.
Samantha Jellicoe and Rick Addison have been together for one year. One very eventful, delicious, and dangerous year and they still can't get enough of each other. Rick is ready for more, but he is not sure what Sam feels about a more permanent arrangement.
But Sam has other things on her mind, namely her latest job. The Metropolitan Museum of Art has hired Sam to recover some stolen Japanese antiques that were taken from a museum exhibit ten years earlier. Now, unless Sam can recover the stolen goods, the Met is going to miss out on another opportunity to host the prestigious collection.
Rick isn't sure Sam should be taking on this little adventure. He wants her to focus on other things, particularly their relationship. But Sam loves a challenge and if the Met job wasn't enough, she is also focusing on the case of Clark, the missing Anatomy Man. With one year under their belt, will Sam and Rick prove strong enough to tackle not only tough crime, but their evolving relationship?
A Touch of Minx wows and delights! Suzanne Enoch is on a roll with this fantastic series and the laughs, high-stakes danger, and sexy situations keep coming. I especially enjoyed the mix of the homespun and the perilous. Sam is tackling more than crime; she is confronting issues of family, friendship, and what role love plays in her life. None of which are easy decisions, but she faces them head-on. As always, the bantering and arguing between Rick and Sam is a thrill a minute. Favorite characters are back and better than ever in A Touch of Minx.
