Kit Angelis is just about to close his private investigations office when she walks in. Dressed in an elegant suit and carrying a wedding dress, the beautiful blond is definitely in trouble. With amnesia she cannot provide any information about her identity or why she is covered in blood, carrying a satchel of cash and a recently fired handgun. All she has is his business card, clutched tightly in her hand.

Within minutes, Kit learns that one of his friends has been hospitalized, and another man is dead when a secret wedding goes terribly wrong. He knows that his client has something to do with it all, but until he learns who she is, he is keeping her under wraps. Is she a witness or a killer?

Author Cara Summers kicks off her trilogy with a literal bang. The taxi accident has given Drew a concussion and wiped her memory clean, and she hopes that Kit Angelis (whoever he is) can explain the items she found in the cab when she came to. She is terrified at her memory loss, and even more afraid that she is involved in something deadly. More than anything else, she just wants to know who she is.

Kit and his two brothers have plenty of mystery to go around, and readers will get lots of thrills from The P.I., and the books that follow. Passion, mystery and suspense make the best summer reading combination, and Ms. Summers has created perfect escape.
