Maggie Fitzgerald is a special agent for the FBI and has decided one more job and she is leaving. Why one more job you ask? This job could help her family move on or is it possible that they may lose another member. Will Maggie be able to find out all the answers plus protect Caleb Gomez? What will the cost be for Maggie?

Caleb Gomez has no idea he may be in danger. As a journalist he has been to many places and been face to face with danger. After his escape of being held captive for three days in Iraq and being released from the Naval Hospital he has decided to completely recuperate in New York. He is in need of a housekeeper and has hired Margaret Warren, for she had not run from the house screaming after she saw his face. She had no idea what a mess this home would be in but that was her cover.

Margaret also known as Maggie Fitzgerald is not really there to clean but to keep an eye on Caleb. Three and half years ago Caleb got close to syndicate boss, Delgado and Caleb has no idea he is after him. Maggie’s boss hopes there are notes and she can find them. Only problem is Caleb does not leave his house and no one is allowed in his office. Will Maggie be able to get them? What schemes will she do to try to get Caleb out of the house so that her partner, Gordon can look around?

Will Caleb and Margaret have a meeting of the hearts? What would it cost Maggie if that would happen? Will Caleb find out she is FBI and how will he react?

Undercover Protector by Molly O’Keefe was a slow read for me. It was a nice story but a bit boring for me. It’s not a keeper for me.
