Although labled as a historical romance, this story has some paranormal qualities to it also. Personally, I found the plot to be slow moving and I had a very hard time plowing my way through. The characters aren't as interesting as I have come to expect from a Edith Layton book, which are usually so bright and lively. Even though I was disappointed with Bride Enchanted, I would certainly buy other of Ms. Layton's books as I have very much enjoyed them in the past.
