Nora Roberts brings readers a new adventure with the Sign of Seven Trilogy, and it all begins with Blood Brothers.

A child's tenth birthday should always be a special moment. When three best friends turn ten together, that day should be even more amazing. For Caleb Hawkins, Fox O'Dell, and Gage Turner, turning ten years old meant the unleashing of a powerful force that has terrorized the town of Hawkins Hollow ever since. Every seven years, the terror reigns for one week in July, creating havoc, hatred, murder, and other terrible consequences.

Writer Quinn Black has come to Hawkins Hollow to figure out what is going on. After reporting about and writing about several different paranormal events in small town America, Quinn has decided to get to the bottom of the mystery that has plagued Hawkins Hollow for twenty-one years.

But Hawkins Hollow holds more intrigue than Quinn expected in the form of Cal. This hometown boy is determined, intelligent, a gentleman, a business man, and one of the sexiest men Quinn has ever met. As they begin to investigate the events surrounding the night of Cal's tenth birthday, the danger grows more imminent. Whatever evil is out there lurking is not sticking to the same pattern this time around. Instead, the danger is escalating in vicious waves and it is up to Cal, Quinn, and their friends to figure out how to stop it once and for all.

Blood Brothers is engrossing and sexy. Nora Roberts brings her signature vivid storytelling skills to every page of this story. The horror is very real and palpable. It is easy to understand how horrified Cal and company are as they describe the events of past weeks of terror. As always, Ms. Roberts makes this a rich and robust story with minute but important details slowly being uncovered by the cast of characters. The friendships, the growing love between Cal and Quinn, and the evolving details of the evil that is destroying Hawkins Hollow make Blood Brothers a surefire winner!
